Not so long ago in winter we had a whole night of multiple lightning strikes out on the river, it was amazing! After about 20 minutes of it I stopped worrying that the house was going to be hit and started to enjoy it. We have had some particularly mild spring weather here so far. I hope it doesn’t mean that it’s going to be a hot dry summer down here!

When I was a little girl in the UK and we had a lightening storm my grandad would take me to the back door to look at the storm and I still find it hypnotising. But these Queensland storms are a lot wilder than those UK storms as I remember it.

There are some great Aussie songs about those storms so they must be something pretty spectacular!
