My local library is in the grounds of New Farm Park so while I was there today I decided to check out the trees to see how they had stood up to the weekend storms. (I promise not to turn this blog into a regular weather forecast.)
It was a beautiful morning. It’s lovely to have this park on my doorstep.

So nice to see Spring sun on the other side of the world 🙂 ….here in the USA it’s cold and dark and wintry. Lovely photos and garden!

Hi Christiok, spring is a lovely time of the year. Funny isn’t it, the opposite seasons from the other side of the planet.

What a lovely park Jean. Good to see that there wasn’t all that much damage 🙂

Hi Fran. It’s a lovely park on a hot day because it’s beside the Brisbane river and we get the breeze off the river.

Is that the library in the background? What a great place to be able to visit.

These photographs were taken just behind the library. The park then opens up onto open lawns, children’s playground and the rose gardens. On the other side of the park is the Brisbane river. The prettiest time of year is October when the Jacaranda’s are in flower. New Farm Park is quite famous locally for the Jacaranda’s.

What an amazing place. You are fortunate to have it there free to visit.
